Cocktails & Couture Lounge

Although we received the very sad news that Whitney Houston passed away while enjoying a much needed break from the craziness of New York Fashion Week, the eclectic mix of beauty and fashion media, influencers et al in attendance at the Cocktails and Couture Lounge turned the tragic news into one of celebration, not only of Whitney Houston but of life in general.

Hosted by Cocktails & Couture Founder and veteran beauty expert, Lianne Farbes, guests were treated to blowouts by BabyLiss, manicures by Oasis Day Spa, beauty products by Tarte Cosmetics, travel cases by CupCase Your Bras, skincare products by Proactiv, cocktails and sweets by Hpnotiq, hors d’oeurves by Honeybun Catering, music by DJ Belle DE Jour.

One highlight of the evening were the raffles – Proactiv held a raffle where one lucky reader won an Alexander Wang handbag (pictured above) in addition to other guests winning Cocktails & Couture raffle prizes from Clarisonic, DDF, Ulta Beauty and Hpnotiq – I unfortunately was not one of the winners, no matter how much I silently begged to win the gorgeous bag or the Clarisonic. Other than not winning, I fully enjoyed the chance to relax and just enjoy the pampering, cocktails and the music. RIP Whitney Houston
