Mother’s Day Gift Ideas: Maxi-Cosi’s #CosiStyle Event w/ Bobbie Thomas

One thing is sure, there are a lot very fashionable moms around, whether they love in New York, LA, Chicago, etc, the urban mom is very chic and edgy. We got to spend some time with a very fashionable mom, Bobbie Thomas, recently when we attended the Quinny and Maxi-Cosi #CosiStyle Event, to celebrate the launch of their customization program for the Mico Max 30 car seat. Since Mother’s Day is less than a month away, we thought the idea of a custom car seat would make a great gift idea for new moms. You know Bobbie Thomas as the Style Editor for NBC’s Today Show, but many people don’t realize she’s been a style expert for over a decade, and was one of the original co-Hosts for Fashion Police with Robert Verdi. As a first-time mom-to-be and a very fashion savvy woman, Bobbie was the perfect person to host this very stylish event.

In the age of celebrating personal style and uniqueness, and customizing everything to fit our likes and needs, Maxi-Cosi is the first child car seat maker to take on this growing trend toward personalized products and services. Guests were able to try out the Maxi-Cosi Customization Program, which boasts more than 250 potential looks, and design their own seats. Maxi-Cosi gives parents the fashionable capability to keep their child safe, and comfortable in custom frames, cushions and canopy colors, right from their smartphones, tablets and laptops. Bobbie also customized her own car seat at the event, selecting the following features: White Frame, Grey Gravel Main Seat Cushion, Grey Gravel Canopy, and Devoted Black Cozi Set. Since our obsession with the color pink knows no bounds, it should come as no surprise that ours has pink.

During the event, Bobbie discussed how she felt being a part of motherhood after a year of IVF treatments, her journey, and the power of motherhood. She went through a tough time whilst she was trying to get pregnant and I really felt for her. Luckily she found a fertility financing company who were able to pay for the treatment for her and she’s now a happy mom! IVF is such a beautiful thing and if you can’t get pregnant naturally, it’s nice to know there are still lots of options out there.

Staying in line with the custom-themed evening, the event also featured very chic maternity fashions from Seraphine, and Rachel Levin Jewelry, makeup consultations from makeup salon, Rouge New York, and specialty coffee drinks and cocktails from Illy Coffee.

For budding car seat designers, moms and dads-to-be, or those that just feel lucky, who want to share their custom designed car seat, there is a great promo currently on the Maxi-Cosi Facebook page that generates designs based on your answers to a fun lifestyle and personality quiz, with the chance to win one of ten custom Mico Max 30 seats. To try your hand at the Maxi-Cosi Custom Program or to add this great product as a Mother’s Day Gift, visit maxicosicustom.com from any smart phone, tablet or laptop, and see the Mico Max 30 image morph in real time as you select different colors of the seat’s component.
