PromGirl Fashion Show & Prom Season Kick-Off Party

We are right in the middle of prom season and time has gotten away from me a bit, mainly because our prom days are long behind us but since we’re just at the beginning of May, we still have time to highlight some stunning prom dresses. If your (or daughter’s, or sister’s) prom is later this month or in June and you or they still haven’t gotten your dress yet, this highlight of prom dresses is for you. We had the pleasure of attending a PromGirl fashion show and kick-off party some time ago, and it was a never-ending flow of stunning dresses of all lengths and silhouettes which made us wish for a do-over on our prom dress. As a leader in online shopping for prom and formal dresses, PromGirl offers tons of dresses that are perfect for cocktail parties, date night, and weddings, but of course, this night belonged to the prom season.

SHORT PROM DRESSES

PromGirl highlighted short prom dresses that were sweet and sassy, playful, and chic to an audience filled with crowned princesses. Styles included the very on-trend two-piece, sexy prom dresses, ballerina, and babydoll-styled dresses in both bold, and soft pastels.

LONG PROM DRESSES

Long dresses were the dominating style of the show with sexy with lots of on-trend details, such as lace, jeweled bodices, halter, and strapless necklines, sparkling embellishments, embroideries, and appliques that accented beyond the bodice, cutouts, nude illusions, sexy side slits, mermaid silhouettes, full, billowy skirts, and long sleeves.

The short prom dresses were not the only ones that featured two-piece dress styles long dresses also boasted the edginess and elegance a crop top paired with long voluminous skirts, mermaid-style skirts, and sheer overlay skirts. In this silhouette, models bared midriffs, arms, and decolletage, keeping them right on trend for 2015 prom dresses.

BALL GOWNS

The highlight of the evening were the princess-worthy ball gowns (though we would go back in time to our prom for the chance to wear several previously highlight dress options) with one standout in particular, an exact replica of the new Disney Cinderella Forever Enchanted Keepsake Gown (pictured directly above), which members of the audience immediately fell head over heels for. The corset style, off the shoulder dress, featured a bodice trimmed with tulle ruffle, delicate beaded butterfly accents, and a two-toned layered tulle skirt that boasted scattered sequins.

After the fashion show, guests enjoyed a fun night of cocktails, small bites, Dylan’s Candy Bar, make-up touch-ups from Kryolan Professional Makeup, psychic readings, and great music from a pint-sized DJ.

One of the most original blog posts of using newest Pantone Color with beauty products!! Except of Burt Bees, most of the product I have never heard of before!! Great job in this beauty review! I can't wait to see the Minion Movie this year 🙂
