It’s my favorite time of year – no not Christmas (for obvious 90+ degree reasons) but it is connected to Christmas. It’s holiday gift guide time – a wonderful experience where you discover new products or rediscover products we may have forgotten about; either of which will sure to make excellent gifts for loved ones. One of my favorite gift guides is The Holiday Look Book – a press preview, produced by Shiraz Events, held twice a year where media can touch, experience and enjoy several new products.
What makes The Holiday Lookbook different is it’s always hosted by an industry expert. This season’s event was hosted by Jen Falik, Style and Beauty Expert who has appeared on The View, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, E! News, Tyra Banks, and more. Jenn is also a regular resource for the New York City media, appearing weekly on NY1, Fox 5, CW11 and local newscasts. Visit www.jennfalik.com. I got a chance to interview her about her holiday wish list
Brands include Pier 1 Imports, Belkin, Etsy.com, Smartbox, UNICEF, Calgon, Picaboo, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte, Bayer Diabetes Care, Divine Chocolate, Ashley Brooke Designs, Princess Theodora, Slimware, Measure Up Bowl, Slip N’ Toss, Packit, Hylunia/Hymed Skin Care, Fit2BMom.com, Chocolatines by Sweet Endeavours, Adult Beverage Company, Daily Wellness Company, Scentsy, Inc., WooLoot Sport, among others.
I stopped at a few vendors like Divine Chocolate, the first ever Fairtrade chocolate bar aimed at the mass market
My next stop was to Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte, although I’d arrived too early in the day to speak to the rep, i was still captivated by the packaging for their holiday gift bottles
One of my favorite stop was to Chocolatines by Sweet Endeavours – I have two words for you, Chocolate Shoes!! Not only were the delicious but they were deliciously adorable shoes. They also featured a new twist of hot chocolate with marshmallows and some amazing chocolate gifts perfect for any bride or bride to be or to any woman who loves things that sparkle
My second favorite stop was to an oldie but a definite goodie – Calgon. We all remember and we still use the phrase today especially during our stressful experiences – “Calgon, Take me away”. I will doing a more detailed post on Calgon but I had to highlight it since it was very much a part of my childhood
