Stacy London was on hand to sign proofs of her new book, “The Truth About Style”. As expected, the line wrapped around several booths so I didn’t get a copy but Stacy was her usual sweet, fab self and posed for a few pics for me
If you enjoyed Fifity Shades of Grey then I was told, you need to get your hands on a copy of Fanny Merkin aka Andrew Shaffer’s parody, “Fifty Shames of Earl Grey”. I didn’t get a copy but I hope to get my hands on one soon. With a name like Fanny Merkin, you know it will be hilarious.
Top Chef Season 5 Favorite and co-host of ABC’s The Chew, Carla Hall, was also on hand for an autograph signing session to promote her new book, “Cooking with Love”. It was another long line which was no surprise, not only is Ms. Hall a talented chef, she’s also very sweet and hilarious
While walking the show I came across a young writer I wasn’t familiar with named Erick S. Gray who was signing copies of his book, “Love Gangsta”. It turns out Mr. Gray has several paperbacks under his belt, most of which are available on barnesandnobles.com and amazon.com. He is also the owner/founder of Triple G Publishing.
My last stop was to check out another cookbook. Ann Byrn, award winning cake-baker and The Cake Mix Doctor was on site (with delicious brownies) to sign copies of her new book, “What Can I Bring? Cookbook” to a very enthusiastic crowd.
Tomorrow is the final day of BEA and my shoulders are definitely looking forward to getting a break from carrying the heavy load of books. Happy reading everyone.
