Murval Paris at NYIGF

Getting to the Personal Accessories section of the NYIGF, I came across a peculiar combination of products from one company – beautiful, fashionable (and affordable) hangbags and tabletop dinnerware and flatware. I am talking about Murval Paris, and who is Murval? Murval is a French company (of course) founded in Paris (naturally) by two sisters, Muriel and Valerie (hence Mur Val)

Although they had amazing bags like the picnic basket directly below and the adorable purple and bronze leather hobo pouch,

they were known first for their Home Accessories, infact they created home accessories before their fab handbags. It was this that I truly fell in love with. The detail in decoration of their flatware for example. Take a look at some of these knives, spoons and forks, the workmanship is amazing and beautiful

The Murval pieces below are so rich in color, so vibrant and so different. They will easily make your dinnertable (heck your cupboard) pop and will definitely make it a conversation piece

Besides the red utensils, my other favorite pieces are the beautiful metallic placemats which looked like someone’s grandmother crocheted them and the cake pan shaped like a giftbox (my aunt is a fan of differently shaped cake pans) and for some reason, the metallic gold plates stood out too

I had a chance to quickly interview their Marketing Rep (I say quickly because their booth was just so busy) and he was being threatened to be pulled away at any moment, so I had to rattle off my questions very quickly. Anyway, please find more about Murval in his own words
