The Wedding Cafe Bridal Showcase

As I’ve said before I seem to be a terminally single woman still looking for the mister that will make me a misses, so it was with a shrug of my single shoulders I decided to attend The Wedding Cafe’s Bridal Corporate Spring Social Showcase. “Established in 2005, Wedding Café NY located in the heart of the city (16 East 38th Street), has been servicing the needs of wedding vendors and brides with its extensive resources. By fostering a modern and sophisticated environment, we seek to provide the optimal venue for all types of events. Our elegantly designed venue is perfect for a cocktail party, wedding ceremony, bridal shower, corporate event, vendor showcase, or any other type of social gathering.”. Vendors such as Photographers, Makeup artists, Caterers, Bridal Gowns and Accessories, Wedding Planners, Cake Designers, etc utilize the Wedding Cafe for meetings with prospective clients to showcase their goods.

I was the first to arrive and entered to find a lively crowd

and a lively band keeping the crowd festive

the first thing I noticed were these gorgeous towering floral centerpieces

and these exquisite cakes by Charmaine Jones, the Cake Diva

I got a chance to interview her briefly about her craft

She also baked and gave out these delicious cupcakes. She had two flavors – regular and lemon (I was bouncing off the walls for several hours after eating one)

After the initial sugar rush, Kim, Alexandra* and Natasha arrived and we took in the ambiance of the event space. While noshing on sushi, spinach and cheese quiche, I noted the following touches

and was blown away by this masterpiece below. It was on display on the upper level of the Wedding Cafe. There was no indication as to who created it but it’s too beautiful not to showcase this fairytale fantasy
