DUCKIE BROWN FALL 2009 SHOW

Gentlemen, Duckie Brown asks, “How Duckie Can you Get?”

As we’ve all seen this neverending winter, we’ve been blasted over and over with snowstorms, experienced windchills that continue to decrease and have seenmore ice on the streets than at the rink; Duckie Brown is expecting the same for the fall/winter season of 2009. Gentlemen, you WILL be kept warm. The one thing I loved about this collection was the color. I am not afraid of color, infact I embrace it with open arms and I do want the man in my life to be open to color as well (I’m not saying I want him in a pair of gold lame pants – and trust me this collection is not that).

Duckie Brown has made the urban man be even more chic, with loosely tailored clothing of tweeds, Herringbone, nylon, heavy durable cottons and a few futuristic looking fabrics. As stated before gentlemen, you will certainly not have to layer as much as you’re surely doing this season. The pants from this collection were made in heavy fabrics. Is that coat keeping you warm? Guess what, the pants will too as they’re from the same fabrics. You’ll feel enveloped in a cocoon of warmth and protection

As you can tell from the photos, this season’s inpiration is survival, the knit hats with the fun pom poms, the ear wraps for you men who don’t necessarily like hats but want to keep the ears warm, the padded gloves and the most interesting – the Blanket Scarves. Yes, Blanket Scarves which I’m sure any date would appreciate being draped over her shoulders if she’s ever cold while you two are taking that midnight strole in the park. I love any garment that has multiple uses, it makes me feel like I’m getting more for my money.

I leave you with the finale of the show…..enjoy!

No celebrities were announced to attend and I didn’t see any but then again, I was focused on the clothing.

Excellent write up of the show. Who was sitting front row? Your fans want to know…
