Designer, Amy Smilovic, has always used her life and travels as influences for her collections and this season was no exception. As she takes us on a journey to Russia with prints such as Karam Paisleys, the bold Firebird, fur mitts (surprisingly, this was not the only show which these mits or paws as we called them) and Cossacks (to the Russian fashion Lamens, I believe that’s what the big fur hats are called)
What do you think of the fur mitts?
With movies like Doctor Zhivago and From Russia with Love, how could you not want to wrap yourself in these luxurious goods (I say this because I’ve always thought Russian women loved luxury, they’re always seem to be dripping in diamonds). As I’ve stated MANY A TIME, I love color, so it’s no surprise that my favorite pieces had the most eye-catching colors
The Tibi show made me want to add Russia to my travel list…hmmm, definitely something to think about.
