Iconic Bridal designer, Vera Wang held an Open House with the Wedding Library for brides and bridal hopefuls (and a few hoping just being around gorgeous Wedding dresses will spark some sort of universal good luck that will end with a wedding – yes I’m guilty as charged). I walked around from alcove to alcove sipping champagne practically drooling over the gowns; dreaming of my hopeful day. But let’s get back to topic
Vera Wang is known for her gorgeous dresses but there is a huge difference between seeing it in a photo or movie and getting up close and in person to touch (hug) and experience one of her gowns. The Spring 2010 Collection featured dresses with “delicate, ethereal layers to pale hand painted tulles and silks”. Many of the dresses featured modern touches to traditional.
My favorites are below (they are Dovima, Dorothy – my ultimate fav, and Diana)
You may notice that the above dresses are more off-white than white. I was told that many of today’s brides opt not to get stark white wedding dresses. The popular colors range from cream to sand. However quite a few brides are going to the opposite side of the wedding dress color spectrum with these colors below
