The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English Grand Opening

The incomparable Chef Todd English teamed up with the luxury hotel, The Plaza to create culinary heaven, The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English.

The Plaza Food Hall is a 5,400 square-foot European-inspired specialty food hall offering the finest fresh, prepared and gourmet foods set in a stylish and convenient atmosphere. Located on the Plaza Hotel’s Concourse Level, the Food Hall was created by chef and restaurateur Todd English and designed by renowned architect Jeffrey Beers.

 
“The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English will offer dine-in and take-away options from more than eight culinary stations, providing high-quality, affordable options to residents, guests, shoppers and visitors to the city alike. Guests will also be able to purchase a variety of merchandise throughout the Food Hall – fresh flowers, a range of international specialty foods, cookware and home goods.”

Stations at The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English will include The Ocean Grill & Oyster Bar, The Bakery, The Cheese & Charcuterie Counter, The Wine Bar, The Grill, Pizza, The Dumpling Bar, and The Sushi Bar.

The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English opens on Friday, June 4, 2010 and is located in The Plaza at 1 West 59th Street, Concourse Level, New York, NY 10019. The Food Hall will be open from 7:00am to 9:00pm Sunday to Thursday, and from 7:00am to 10:00pm Friday and Saturday.

Chef English was very gracious while I was there, asking if I was enjoying the food and the event (I very much did). I tried to get an interview but he was being pulled in so many different directions (which is expected). I did get some candid shot of him at at The Ocean Grill & Oyster Bar.
