It’s time again for one of my favorite events to attend – The Ann Taylor Collection Preview. This time around was the Holiday 2010 Collection and I must say, this one is my favorite so far.
it seems each collection is getting better and better everytime and I think that is attributed to the amazing combination of Lisa Axelson, the Senior Vice President of Design for Ann Taylor and Christine Beauchamp, President of Ann Taylor Stores. These two women are reaching into the minds of the minds of women of today and putting into fruition our perfect wardrobe.
Here is Lisa Axelson telling us a little bit about the Ann Taylor Holiday Collection
The collection is broken down into four segments, November 1 (which concentrated on day looks), November 2 (more evening/party looks), December and Holiday/January. I had so many favorites from each segment, i think both my camera and I were salivating over what we were seeing. For November, I loved the soft, romantic mix of light tans and blush and champagne. The added pale metallic pieces added a soft edge to what was already great looks. Below are my favorites from November 1
Since, November 2 was all about the nightlife, I fully appreciated the subtle wow factor touches – a sort of dark romance. As November 1 showed soft animal prints, November 2 was all about the sexiness of dark such black lace overlay, feathers, leather, etc
Downtown Folk Singer and Native New Yorker, Alexa Wilding (who reminded me a lot of Actress/Singer Zooey Deschanel -more in aura and feel than looks), enchanted us with her angelic voice while wearing the Ann Taylor flapper-ish inspired feather dress
December and Holiday/January had so many great looks, I’m not sure where to begin but maybe I’ll just show my “I want, I must have” pieces
Ann Taylor has become a very chic collection, which is why their profits continue to increase. Ann Taylor knows what women want – we want special, we want pretty, sexy and fabulous. This collection is everything and more.
