A fun tip was personalizing your guests’ drinking glasses. While we’re used to charms hooked around the stems of glasses, why not have guests write their names on those glasses – say in chalk….very different and actually quite fun. I can say I was giddy and felt quite younger at heart writing my name in chalk on my glass (ignore the actual handwriting)
One of my favorite things from the evening, besides being entertained by Robert Verdi of course, was the indoor campfire which allowed us to roast marshmallows and dip them in either the very yummy Passionfruit rum sauce, chocolate sauce and crumbled graham crackers which made for some very tasty s’mores
You may have noticed the beach themed decor in some of the above photos. Robert’s space was decorated with things that are the symbols of summer – sand, seashells, starfish and flip-flops, a perfect contrast to the torrential downpours that was happening outside. We enjoyed ourselves and indulged in Robert’s summer escape until the rain ended.
