Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Keep Shopping to Support

As I mentioned in the first post, there are just so many great products that help you support the fight against Breast Cancer – too many for just one blog feature, so I’ve decided to do another with more great products that will allow you to help the fight while you shop.

Ann Taylor Pink Jewelry Collection

Ann Taylor Head Designer, Lisa Axelson, took her favorite pieces from Ann Taylor’s Legacy Collection as inspiration for this Pink Jewel Collection. 70% from the sale of the Ann Cares Pink Jewel necklace ($58) and Ann Cares Pink Jewel Ring ($58) will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Rebecca Taylor Special Nude Eyelash Trim Ruffle Blouse

I was not aware that Triple negative breast cancer existed (I’m sure like me, many of you are unaware as well). Triple negative breast cancer is an aggressive, yet little-known subtype of breast cancer. Approximately 15% of breast cancer cases are classified as triple negative, most often occurring in younger women and African-Americans. A diagnosis of triple negative means that the cancer is negative for estrogen, progesterone, and HER-2 hormone receptors, and therefore, common breast cancer targeted treatments are generally ineffective. Rebecca Taylor has designed the above $235 special blouse to benefit the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation with 50% of the proceeds from this pink silk blouse going directly to the foundation. The blouse is available exclusively on www.RebeccaTaylor.com as well as in Rebecca Taylor boutiques.

Spreegirl Relaxed Modern Collection

If you’ve never felt the uber-softness of clothing made with bamboo (its incredibly luxurious) then purchasing Spreegirl’s products is a great way to start. Spreegirl is offering their Relaxed Modern Collection and will donate 25% of all proceeds to Pink Envelope, a non-profit organization committed to raising funds for the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mixit by jcpenney Pink Charm & Chain Bracelet

Be on trend while supporting an amazing organization. This adorable metal and fabric bracelet is only $10.99 and is one of several products that allows jcpenney to donate $70,000 to Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization™ in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Merchandise benefitting Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization is still available in stores and online. Plus, jcpenney is partnering with Y-ME to sponsor a special bra fit event where $1 for every bra fit — up to $50,000 — will be donated to the Y-Me organization. No other organization provides peer support to breast cancer patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days in a year, in whatever language the caller feels comfortable speaking.

The Look Pro Natural Lip Plumper

Alan Mruvka, Founder of E! Entertainment Television, launched THE LOOK PRO Professional Makeup debuting just in time for Breast Cancer Month with two pink shades of natural Lip Plumper. This all natural Lip Plumper is an oil based and Paraben free product. The immediate plumping effect is initiated by NIACIN (Vitamin B), is packed with moisture properties and acts as a gloss. As part of the “Real Women Wear Pink” campaign, THELOOKSTORE.com will donate $1.00 from the sale of each of the $13.50 Lip Plumper sold during the month of October 2011 to Foundation for Living Beauty. THE LOOK PRO Natural Lip Plumper allows you to achieve pout-plumping benefits, and enhance your lips to kissable fullness while donating to a good cause.
