Yes it’s Halloween and I’m sure your heads are filled with costumes and candy but my darlings, there is another C word that’s missing and it is Cocktails. While many say halloween is for kids, we adults enjoy it as well (as it evident by the hundreds of new adult character (fictional and non-fictional) costumes that are now available. And while we adults occasionally think of the candy and definitely what costumes we’re going to wear to the halloween parties, we don’t pay much attention to the cocktail. That is a shame because let’s face it, Halloween is now equivilant to St. Paddy’s Day and Cinco de Mayo. So I say…. bring on the specialty cocktails (quite naughtily and wickedly I might add)!!.
One such amazing halloween cocktail is the Haunted X courtesy of X-Rated Fusion Liqueur – a “senuous fusion of Ultra Premium French Vodka and Sicilian Blood orange mingling with Mango and Passion fruits”
This fashionable gradient pink hued delight has a haunting taste that is sure to send tantalizing chills down your spine as you perhaps zoom in on your Halloween night’s prey. This sweet treat (I’d go trick or treating if this sweet thing was to end up in my bag), though devilishly delicious is quite simple to make. Start with one part of:
then add:
1 Part Armaretto
1 Part Cranberry Juice
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice
Strain into a shot glass and indulge
So keep your Candy Corn and Tootsie Rolls on Halloween, my fanged teeth require something a little more wicked and The Haunted-X is just what the Evil mad Scientist ordered.
