Another show which featured both menswear and womenswear, Mackage took us to the dark side of fall via the Matrix mixed with a bit of Pinhead. Either way, according to Mackage, we’re headed for a very “doom and gloom” fall 2009.
I know black in the NYC staple and official uniform, especially in this economic uncertainty but I also say to go against the grain especially in fashion. Rules don’t apply anymore, so go wild, or dark or bright, or whatever. Now while, this collection reminds you of the above stated movies, it is not costumy at all and there were several light (well, white) pieces I couldn’t help letting out an oooh for. Being that I love color (yes I’m stating this yet again), I would surely mix in a fuschia, bright plum or torquoise here and there. Like with this pieces below
I especially love the lace and netting all throughout this collection.
This makes this fall very sexy.
