Many of the shows I attended, featured the colors black, grey and the colors in between but there were a few bright lights here and there. One of my favorite dramtic use of color and attitude was seen at Georges Chakra Fall 2009 Show. My friends know that I love color; I’ll do the typical NY uniform of black on black every once is a while but many times I love to pump in a hot fuschia, turquoise or bright yellow shoe, bag, etc in my look. I am one of those that strongly believes color brings happiness and can just lift your spirits or brighten your overall mood. Obviously Georges Chakra feels the same, check out the amazing pops of color in this season’s collection.
But color wasn’t the only highlight of this collection, there were a few pieces that immediately made me think of Dynasty; specifically Alexis Carrington, she always wore the fabulous Haute Couture looks. Can’t you just picture her turning heads as she made her entrance in one of these looks? Love it!!
I love a designer that has edge in their looks and who knows how to add the drama and spice without losing the wearability. I also loved the mix of fabrics. Take a look at these below – STUNNING!!!!
