Every season (yes before I started writing this blog), there is one show that I will always make sure I attend and that is Venexiana. Kati Stern is a freaking genius. Her shows are not always fun but her fun personality shines bright and strong in her collections. Her looks are always fun, sexy, classic and sophisticated all at once.
This season was no exception, I saw great inspiration from the 1940’s for this season’s collection (apologies for the photos, my camera battery died after a very full day of coverage, so out came my cellphone). The run of show and information packet stated that this season was inpired by the beautiful city of Venice and I did see the beauty of the city. Kati Stern’s gorgeous gowns draped (really fell) on the curves of the body like a calm breeze over a still lake with a waterfall of movement at the bottom. I loved her use of metallic gold all over the collection. I can’t wait for next season.
I leave you with the finale video
