French Beauty Company, Orlane Paris hosted an event at the Longchamps Soho Store to benefit Afghan Hands, an organiztion that teaches skills to Afghan widows to gain independence, literacy, and a livable wages by using their natural weaving talent to create gorgeous shawls, scarfs, throws and square shawls.
It was only Kim and I at this event and unfortunately we didn’t stay long (other events to attend that night), so we missed seeing Claire Danes and actor/fiancee Hugh Dancy. Anyway, we arrived to a nice crowd
Held in the upper space of the longchamps store, the walls decorated by Orlane Paris products
with tables placed all around filled with some of the most gorgeous handmade scarves and shawls I’ve ever seen and a few beaded bags. Below are my favorites shawls
but my most favorite was this one below; the detail in embroidery and beautiful workmanship was the first thing to catch my eye
Kim and I weren’t the only ones admiring the shawls, a few people made purchases as well
Incase you were wondering about the pricepoint, I did get a chance to take a photo of the price list
As I stated before, we didn’t stay long because of other events we had to attend, on our way out, we saw grabbed our giftbags and headed out
