This coming Spring, flowers are not the only thing that will bloom in beautiful pastel colors. Unlike the dark denim days from the past seasons, Spring denim will again be filled with pinks, mint greens, baby blues, lavender, etc. That’s right, colored denim is reappearing for Spring 2011. I staked out a few denim companies that are introducing these ice-cream colored jeans to bring you three favorites.
M2F Brand Denims introduces a line of eco-friendly, authentic, vintage denim in eleven colors. The Jeans are individually colored in a dye bath that uses 50% less energy & water, while eliminating 100% of the toxic chemicals typical of traditional textile dyeing procedures. The Spring Collection, called Clear H2O Colors are inspired by nature’s blooming flowers and mountain landscapes.

Diesel – the above Diesel jeans are one of my favorites just for the fact that they are not one solid color. I do love how it mixes different denim ideas (in this case, tye-dye and an acid wash effect). I think no matter the generation, this multi-colored effect will appeal to several different people. Of course, this is an update on the tye-dye effect; this is certainly not your mother’s tye-dye.
ITV (Industria Tessile del Vomano) Denim is an Italian manufacturer and producer of high quality denim made with Avant-garde technology that is unrivaled in Europe and North America. ITV Denim has quite a few innovative denim collections coming out, such as Back to Basics, a return to late 1960’s jeans upgraded with avant-garde technology and All in One Collection that achieves a dirty effect without dirtying the denim. ITV also says denim coating will be big for the spring season but their coatings will not stiffen or weigh down fabrics.
