Ann Taylor Fall 2011 Press Preview & Party

Ann Taylor showcased and celebrated a girl for Fall season at a preview and party late last month. The sophisticated looks featured a bit of the old Ann Taylor married with the new chic youthful touches. The fall season’s collection was all substantial style, classic looks with a modern finish.

The Uptown girl prefers sophisticated sleek lines softened with feminine touches – her wardrobe is exquisitely tailored and done in tweed, leopard and luxe camel fabrications with beautiful detailing, soft drapery and perfect fit. Subtle shine and shimmer dance throughout this girl’s wardrobe.

The Sporty Luxe girl is all about outdoors; done in rich, deep color tones, we see country inspirations such as quilting, patches, buckles, faux fur, checks and lace are all brought to life in luxe fabrics. This girl’s wardrobe mixes tweed with leather, fur and lace for a modern chic finish.

The Career Chic girl is actually a powerful woman; an energetic and passionate woman which is illustrated through her wardrobe – streamlined, clean lines with small touches of lace embellishments. Classic chic at its best

The City Chic girl loves pops of boldly colored, layered and timeless American styles. She’s confident and prefers 1970’s menswear inspired long lines softened with beautiful layering. Color-blocking makes an appearance in neutral tones in big bold graphics.

As stated n the title, this was not just a press preview but a party as well – Brazilian singer, Bebel Gilberto, performed for the media crowd. I unfortunately couldn’t stay for the performance as I had another preview to attend but did get a copy of her All in One cd which I knew I’d love upon seeing three names – Bon Marley, Stevie Wonder and Mark Ronson
