Lather Up & Raise The Bar

As a self-proclaimed body wash fanatic, I’ve mostly ignored bath soap in any other form, especially bars of soaps but believe it or not the tide has turned and I can now say I am a fan of several body bars. There was a time when I loved one or two but I now find myself a fan of at least four or five different brands. I’ve recently stated my love of Burt’s Bees Shea Butter Conditioning Body Bar – click HERE for a refresher, well here are my other favorites.

Moksa Organics – $6.50

My first introduction to this brand was with their Bohemian Forest body bar – a blend of wintergreen, spearmint, and woodsy aromas. Talk about a pick me up; on days when my body and mind feel unmovable, the Moksa Bohemian Forest was always my go-to “wake me up” soap. The blend of organic coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, shea butter etc left my skin quite moisturized as well.

Wembe – $8.00

I have mentioned Wembe Soaps quite a few times. I’ve loved the Mango Cleansing Bar, Citric Cleansing Bar, etc but my favorite continues to be the Chocolate Cleansing Bar – the invigorating elements from the oils and butters in this bar will awaken cravings throughout your body. It detoxifies, sooths and stimulates your senses. I mean who doesn’t want to walk around with skin smelling like chocolate.

Thymes – $13.00

I have been a fan of Thymes for as long as I can remember, I don’t think they have a product that I do not like. I’m a bit of a stalker for their body washes and its usually my go to brand but I do love their soaps as well. I usually switch back and forth between Thymes’s soaps and Body washes during the summer months tend to use their more citrus blends for a more invigorating shower experience. My new favorite is their Bergamot Vert (pictured above), a sweet citrus scent that reminds me of light orange sorbet or the scent of  an orange peel. I also slice a sliver off and keep in my draw.

Diptyque Paris – $15.00

Diptyque L’eau Soap is my special occasion soap. It’s what I use if I have a big night like an exciting date, my birthday, etc. The L’eau fragrance was created in 1968 and was the first eau de toilette Diptyque created. It infuses spices and flowers – Cinnamon, Clove, Geranium, Rose, Sandalwood and the scent changes as the day goes on. I always feel sexy when I use this soap and I love the fact that I don’t need to top it off with a perfume. It’s beguiling fragrance is all I need.

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen. These are the bars of soap that is making me revert back to using body bars. Maybe I mentioned a favorite of your or introduced you to what could become your favorite.
