There are a few shows I always try to attend because I know I’ll be seeing the theatrical aspect, showmanship and opulence of fashion and Zang Toi is at the top of that list. For Fall 2012, Zang Toi’s inspiration comes from the “Glamour at Gstaad”, a village in the German-speaking section of the Canton of Bern in southwestern Switzerland known for one of the best and most exclusive ski resorts. This inspiration was instantly brought to mind as the first models walked out in gorgeous ivory fur
The opulence continued on look after look. Featuring gorgeous coats, jackets, cocktail dresses, trousers and gowns in wool crepe, wool boucle, wool cashmere, angora, silk organza, silk velvet, silk gazar, the crowd was beyond wowed at his collection. The beauty was not only the silhouettes but the details as well – exquisite beading, piping, top-stitching and crystal trims were seen on gowns, jackets, etc. It was no surprise that Zang Toi received a standing ovation.
