Though this was her spring collection, designer, Farah Angsana opened her Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Show not with bold, bright colors but with black and white – Silk dresses embellished with crystals and lace as well as sleek, sophisticated solid black dresses announced the start of the show
For me the collection really came alive when the colored looks started down the runway. Bold colors like canary yellow, cobalt blue, tangerine, and bright green were seen in short looks peppered with colorful embroidery and long fluid silk chiffon gowns and caftans.
Several of my fellow show attendees commented on the royal blue one-shoulder silk chiffon gown and the sky blue chiffon halter gown with beading but I couldn’t help but love the sassy short numbers.
