During the craziness of New York Fashion Week, my favorite lounges to visit (when I could) was the Birchbox Sample Stop – a haven of beauty samples, hair, nail and makeup touch-ups by some of the most amazing beauty brands, charging stations and a dangerously delicious “candy shop”.
Guests were treated to touch-ups by Jouer, Kerastase, Oscar Blandi, Kiehl’s, Color Club, Aveda, Youngblood, Amika, Fresh, with stations that highlighted Eyebrow shaping by Benefit Cosmetics, a Boscia Blot Spot (which was definitely needed with the intense humidity we experienced during the week) and gorgeous manis by Color Club (they featured a great cobalt blue color called Insta-This– a must color to check out).
What was my favorite part of the Birchbox Sample Stop? The fact that we got to build our own Birchbox. If you’re already familiar with this favorite luxe sampling company, then you know how fun it is to tryout new beauty launches and the anticipation of getting the perfectly wrapped package in the mail.
The Birchbox Sample Stop also allowed us to charge our mobile devices as well as ourselves, update our blogs, enjoy an actual lunch courtesy of Wichcraft (there’s normally no time to eat during NYFW) and reconnect with fellow media friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Thanks to Birchbox, I took home samples of Color Club’s Inst-This, Beauty Blenders, Boscia Blotting Sheets, Miracle Skin Transformer’s Hydroactive Microderm, Per-fekt Skin Perfection Gel and Oscar Blandi’s Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray.
