Spring 2014 is sexy and sophisticated for Jill Stuart. The uber-feminine designer, known for her fun and flirty collections, presented a tougher, edgier collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for Spring 2014. The use of color was almost non-existent, Stuart instead opted for black, white and greys with a few looks in blue. This collection celebrates “the tough, sexy chick”, a darker director than last season’s collection. This season’s highlights featured leather, lace, midriff-baring tops, sexy cutouts and sheer accents.
I love Stuart’s daring use of lace and leather, and her ore structured silhouettes, it shows she can truly dress all women – those who want a look that’s flirty and feminine and those who prefer a darker, sensual style. Check out video of models walking the show’s finale below:
