Spring 2014 for Christian Siriano is full of vibrant color, hypnotizing graphics, bold floral and looks that are full of movement. While I always love his breathtakingly dramatic evening gowns, what really stood out with his Spring 2014 Collection was Siriano’s chic and wearable separates.
Inspired by his recent trip to the “Island of Women” off the coat of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, Siriano truly brought the feel of this picturesque island to New York. From the tiki huts backdrop, to the very “tropical” island temperature of the venue, we truly felt like we were on Isla Mujeres (though the temperature may just have been an accidental coincidence). Accident or not, it was quite fitting to Siriano’s inspiration.
The collection featured the dahlia as a bold floral print, elegant organzas, raffia textiles, eye-catching metallics, ostrich feathers, and crisp linen, all which Siriano made look and feel light and airy. Want to see more of the collection? Check out the models walk the finale in the video below:
