Back-to-School Style | Seventeen Magazine Launches Exclusive Fashion Collection at Sears

Seventeen Magazine readers are in for treat for Back-to-School shopping season. The fashion magazine has curated a collection of stylish apparel, accessories, and footwear to fit every girl’s style. This is the magazine’s first apparel and accessories collection and the publication, which influences and celebrates teen fashion, is the perfect periodical to launch this collection with. Boasting a mix of playful key trends and everyday pieces including printed leggings, denim vests, military jackets, flirty boho dresses, preppy cardigans, feminine blouses, and sporty casuals, the Seventeen Fashion Collection is designed to pay tribute to the various style personalities of seventeen’s readers.

Along with the aforementioned items, the Seventeen Fasnion Collection includes mixed metal, delicate, and statement jewelry, handbags and backpacks, and menswear-inspired and casual-chic footwear (love the ballet flats, floral sneakers and oxfords), for a total of 83 pieces. Many pieces from the collection are available now, at extremely affordable price points – all of the items retail for under $50.00.

We see teens falling head over heels for the adorable animal sweaters (featured above) and the graphic tops and tees with positive messages such as love, hope, brave, etc; the sweet and flirty dresses, the edgy printed jeggings, the abundance of layering pieces that compliment each other, and of course the amazingly affordable price.

The collection is produced by the Adjmi Apparel Group and is available at 450 Sears stores nationwide, as well as on Sears.com. In conjunction with the collection launch, specialty shops featuring Seventeen signage, charging stations and interactive elements, such as digital magazine content and social feeds will be available at 10 Sears locations. Continuing the social media aspect is the use of the hashtag #17Style across all social media outlets.

American Rag and Seventeen Mag ‘Style Scout’ competition

Macy’s private label brand, American Rag has teamed up with Seventeen Magazine to launch the “American Rag – All Access” contest. Searching for three “American Rag Style Scouts,” to be the face of American Rag, with the aim for 16-22 yr old girls of all sizes and ethnicities to promote a positive self -image.

The American Rag – All Access contest calls for American Teenage girls to ignite their inner supermodel with Macy’s and Seventeen Magazine search for the next American teenage Style Scout.

Contestants must do an online submission at www.seventeen.com/ALL-ACCESS, by March 16th. Contestants must upload a video that describes their unique style and music aspirations, and showcase why they should be an official
‘American Rag Style Scout.’ This is a one time nationwide opportunity, call it a search for ‘America’s next top style scout’

Winners Prize:
-Receive an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles or New York City
-Appear in an American Rag ad, which will be featured exclusively in the September issue Seventeen Magazine
