Odd Molly Spring 2011 Collection

Odd Molly, the popular and beloved Swedish label from designers Karin Jimfelt-Ghatan and Per Holknekt, debuted their collection at this season’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. For this collection, the designers combined Bohemian world traveler meets an off-beat Parisian chic which is translated into a slightly miss-matched hodgepodge of colors and materials.

1950’s inspired long and narrow body shaped silhouettes and early 1960’s Brigitte Bardot shorter more feminine silhouettes are combined with Folklore prints in signature patchworks, hand knits, and crochets. Powdery skin tones, gold and silver accents and different hues of grey melanges compliment the materials to complete Odd Molly’s Daisy girl aesthetic.

This season’s collection, called Peace Maker, is inspired by a unique mix of state of mind, feelings, moods and personalities which is why there was a special performance by The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger, a group that consisted of Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl

Originally established in 2003, the international award-winning brand has continued to gain a loyal following with fans and the press worldwide, and is currently available in over 1500 boutiques and department stores in 38 countries. Check out the show’s finale video below
