I don’t know about you but I’m tired of seeing our young beautiful girls fall victim to the latest makeup trends. You’ve seen them; they usually hang out at MAC counters trying on florescent yellow eye shadow with fuchsia lipstick. You can also catch them at Sephora applying foundation that is two to three shades darker than it should be. If you’re like me you probably want to shout “please step away from the makeup” or at the very least offer these young ladies advice. Well Bobbi Brown is tired of it too! The gang and I attended the launch of Bobbi’s new book “Beauty Rules” and it’s full of great tips for choosing age appropriate makeup along with style secrets and self-esteem boosters.
Bobbi Brown definitely knows how to cater to her girls. The event was fully stocked with candy galore (jelly beans, gum balls, candy bracelets) and cute school supplies. Attendees were treated to complimentary makeup and hair styling, which is always fabulous!
This book is a must have for your daughters, little sisters and nieces who are starting to experiment with makeup. In a recent interview Bobbi Brown explained, “I wrote the book to help empower girls to be able to realize that they rock and they’re beautiful and anyone can be great…”.
