Backstage Style – Warren-Tricomi for IvanaHelsinki Fall 2011

To highlight her rich velvet and feather print filled collection, designer, Paola Suhonen wanted standout hair for her IvanaHelsinki Fall 2011 Collection. I walked backstage at IvanaHelsinki to see none other than Edward Tricomi taming a world wind of hair into high smooth Beehives. Mr. Tricomi stated that Paola wanted big hair and what’s bigger than an over the top 60’s Beehive – “the way they used to do it” – Edward Tricomi.

Armed with just hairspray and a brush, Mr. Tricomi’s very fast hands did in minutes what it’d take the rest of us hours to complete. I took some video of the master at work, see below

and the end result is a very smooth 60’s chic hair – “The 60’s inspired statement was created by pinning the hair into a very statuesque, channeling the modern Brigitte Bardot.”
