Color-blocking reigned supreme at the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2012 Show; several of the pieced-together looks featured some very graphic heavy looks and strategically placed cutouts and slits, all in various bold color palettes – almost like wearable pieces of art. Though the looks were quite drapey and relaxed silhouettes, most were punctuated with high side splits that added some very chic sex appeal.
Fluttering panels were incorporated into several looks which gave the collection a lighter than air feel and lots of fluidity. Body conscious women and fans of tunics, kimonos and loose easy fitting dresses will love this collection. Time to exhale my dears, there is no more holing the stomach in.
