Famed lingerie designer, Josie Natori looked to the East for her inspiration for her Fall 2012 Collection (her third ready-to-wear collection), specifically Mongolia and the drama of its untamed lands. Fascinated by Mongolian Nomads, Kublai Khan, Marco Polo and the trades of Silk Road, Natori presented a lush modern collection filled with rich tones, Kimono-style wrap tops, jackets and reversible wraps, embellished maxi skirts, and luxe furs
Structure was added to some looks with shape, obi belts, cinched waists, pleated leather toppers, jacquard skirts, and fitted trousers
The collection’s final look was a long black sophisticated mandarin-collared gown with a classic front but included a sheer, beaded back that added a beautiful dramatic exit.
