Toast to the Winners | Golden Globe Inspired Cocktails

The Golden Globes are only a few hours away, you may be attending a viewing party or just enjoying a few drinking games with friends. Why not make it more fun by enjoying a few cocktails inspired by the funny lady hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, as well as some of this year’s top nominees made with Kilbeggan® Irish Whiskey and Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon.

Inspired by Funny Lady Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler – Kilbeggan® Last Laugh

1.5 parts Kilbeggan® Irish Whiskey
.75 part Cruzan® Black Cherry Rum
Iced Tea
Combine ingredients in Shaker with ice. Shake and serve in a tall highball glass.

Inspired by AMC’s Mad Men – Basil Hayden’s® MadHattan (Created by Damian Windsor)

2 parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
3/4 parts Dolin® Blanc Vermouth de Chambery
1 bar spoon Luxardo® Maraschino Cherries
1 dash Orange Bitters
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until combined. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange twist.

Inspired by NBC’s The Office – Basil Hayden’s Nine to Five Punch (created by Max Toste)

1/2 Bottle Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
5 parts Pineapple Juice
3 1/2 parts Lemon Juice
4 parts Maple Syrup
5 Dashes Bitters
33 parts Club Soda
Add Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon, pinapple juice, lemon juice, maple syrup and bitters in a medium punch bowl. Stir ingredients until maple syrup has fully dissolved. Add a few large ice cubes, sparkling water and float lemon and pineapple slices on top.

Inspired by HBO’s Boardwalk Empire – Basil Hayden’s® Nucky’s Weakness

1½ parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
¾ Part Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Basil Leaves
¾ Part Honey Syrup
Muddle lemon juice, basil and honey syrup in a mixing tin. Add Basil Hayden’s® bourbon and shake lightly for 5 seconds. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass. Add ice and garnish with a thick grapefruit rind.

Honey Syrup
Combine 3 parts honey with 1 part hot water. Stir until completely combined.
