Tide & Fashionista’s NYFW #WashableFashion Show

Ever wish you had the option of tossing your designer wardrobe into the washing machine with no fear of ruining them? Thanks to Tide and the CFDA, some designer labels will survive the washing machine. The Tide + CFDA Washable Fashion Initiative is a breakthrough partnership designed to educate and inform the fashion industry about the benefits and possibilities of creating more designer fashions using machine-washable fabrics. During New York Fashion Week, Tide Pods, along with Fashionista, presented the first-ever fashion show featuring looks that were all 100% washable. The event also highlighted looks from designer, Tracy Reese (also in attendance), who designed her first-ever machine washable looks for her Fall 2014 collection.

Five designers, Nyla Hasan, Lisu Vega, Nicole Haddad, Nicole Lenzen, and Priscilla Barroso, presented looks that were chic, stylish and 100% wash and wear. Check out looks form the show below:

EVA KHURSHID by Nyla Hasan

Inspired by the architecture and mosaics of Morrocco, this collection celebrated the intricate designs not in prints but in sexy cutouts, flirty feminine looks and chic color-blocking.

LISU VEGA

The super stylish, drop-crotch Maki pants combine edginess and comfort in the most way, making this style a guaranteed favorite for women.

LOBO MAU by Nicole Haddad

We love the easiness of these two 100% cotton looks from this Philly-based designer. The sportiness of the raglan-sleeved Racer dress is perfect for running errands, and we’re in awe of the deconstructed plaid print of the Duchess dress and love the black color black touches on the sleeves, waist, and neckline.

NICOLE LENZEN

Your work wardrobe just got easier. With chic looks that take you from day to night, from the office to out on the town, Nicole Lenzen offers versatile and flattering looks for the modern fashionista.

CROWNED BIRD by Priscilla Barroso

Designer, Priscilla Barroso, invites you to be a kid again with this look from her Crowned Bird BAKA (Japanese for foolish) Collection. Every look from this collection can be played in, slept in, and seen in. The playful School Girl Dress makes for easy wear day or night.
