My son had our phone in his pocket and reached down to check the temperature in the pool, and oops! The phone went down to the bottom! Of course, on the deepend too! Needless to say…it didnt work anymore!

My son ruined 2 iphones within 6 days last year. One was dropped in a glass of water and the second one got dropped out of his car.
I set the phone on top of the commode lid and accidentally knocked it into the water!

My phone was in my jacket pocket on NYE and we were at a bar i guess my jacket hung lower than the chair and someone must have stepped on it. the next morning I saw a nice cracked screen
I had a bad habit of placing any item on the top of my car (when i'm opening the car door). Without realizing it i place my cell on top of the roof and when i reverse the car, my cell slide and broke the screen 🙁

I was at a beach in San Diego and I was wearing shorts that had loose pockets with my phone in it. I was jumping around and it fell onto the sand, and when I realized it later on I figured the waves had already taken it. I even had video tape that you could see it falling out of my pocket and hitting the beach

My phone mishap actually involves my iPhone's case(s) I have purchased 4 Incase cases so far and have broken each one of them. I typically am doing something with my 2 yr old and then I drop my phone from fumbling around with him, the diaper bag and of course my purse. My 4th case is still on my phone as I cannot afford to buy another one. They cost 30.00 and I've bought 4 in the last year (wowzers). Thankfully though these cases have saved my phone from certain death and me from having to pay 600.00 I am currently not eligible to buy a new phone so I would have to pay the out of contract price to replace it. I become eligible in March for a new phone.

I'm new to cell phones, so I've yet to have an incident.
All my phones have been fine but my husband seems to drop each and every one of them and crack/dent/destroy it within the year of it being new 🙁

For New Years I went to Vegas for the first time. Being from Canada I left my phone at home so I didn't get charged extra money for roaming. However when I came home it was obviously dead but it never was able to recharge — I had to get a new phone and it was only after a year:(

Worst one for me was when I was in an accident. Had a car fly through an intersection and hit our truck. Truck was totaled and so was my phone. Nobody was hurt, but I do remember pulling that phone out and seeing its screen smashed to pieces.

My mobile mishap involved my new puppy…Now, one would think that an innocent little puppy with tiny teeth would not be a problem, hence why my phone was sitting on the coffee table. I was lying in bed watching a movie and could hear a bit of thumping on the floor every now and again but she had a big bone to play with so I didn't get up to investigate….big mistake. It was so chewed up and literally destroyed that it didn't even look 25% of the way it used to look. I still can not figure out how such tiny teeth could do that much damage. I have since learned my lesson though and *NEVER* leave anything out in the open that she could possibly confuse with a chew toy. 😉
