Orange is the New Black’s Jackie Cruz Celebrates Eiji Salon’s Holiday Hair

Orange is the New Black’s Jackie Cruz (who plays Flaca on the hit show), along with a few fellow castmates, recently hosted an evening of holiday hair at Eiji Salon, renowned leader in the world of beauty herald by Owner/Founder, Eiji Yamane (pictured below with Alysia Reiner, Jackie Cruz, Diane Guerrero, and Vicky Jeudy). The event featured beauty tips and hair how-to’s for the holiday season. The elite salon, located on Madison Avenue, is home of the “Dry-Cut” technique, a technique from the late, great hair guru, John Sahag that Eiji mastered and re-defined.

The event also celebrated Eiji Salon’s partnership with Wand Hair, with a preview of the Wand for Eiji Salon hair collection, the beauty industry’s first ever hair rental service – the hair version of Rent the Runway. For now, clients will choose from four wig styles, available in various colors and lengths and will eventually include hair extensions as well. The client will choose their preferred style, wear the hair for 2-3 days (length of time is up to the user) and once returned, the hair is cleaned with a special formula to ensure its sanitary for the next client.

Another notable guest, besides the stunning cast of Orange is the New Black was Melvin Van Peebles (Actor, director, screenwriter, playwright, novelist, composer and father of Mario Van Peebles), who is still quite the feisty gentleman.
