GUESS, the American lifestyle brand famous for trendsetting styles and unforgettable campaign images, will be joining forces with Teen Vogue to encourage readers to show their artistic side and personality by designing a T-shirt to benefit a charity of their choosing (click on image to enlarge)
This past October, GUESS launched a special edition charity T-shirt in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month. 100% of proceeds from the sales of the T-shirts went to benefit Sojourn Services for Battered Women and their Children, a not-for-profit provider of refuge and empowerment services for victims of domestic violence. The women’s T-shirt featured words of inspiration drafted by Ella Marciano, 16, daughter of Paul Marciano. The T-shirt’s success and positive impact it has had on Ella Marciano is one of the reasons that GUESS has partnered with Teen Vogue. GUESS wants to help other teenagers raise awareness about their favorite charities and thought Teen Vogue would be the perfect partner.
The online contest will run from March 15th through May 20th at Teenvogueallaccess.com/chari-t. A team made up of Teen Vogue editors, GUESS executives and Ella Marciano, will select five finalists, whose designs will be presented in social and digital platforms for peer voting. The winning design will be turned into a T-shirt and announced in August with an in-store event just in time for back-to-school shopping.
The winning T-shirt design will be sold online at www.GUESS.com with 100% of proceeds benefitting the selected charity. In addition, the Chari-T will be featured at the Teen Vogue Haute Spot, a pop up shop for the magazine in New York this September, and will also be the official T-shirt for Teen Vogue’s annual Fashion University in October.
So girls, make sure you enter and let the world see your creative vision. Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win at Teenvogueallaccess.com/chari-t.
