One of the reason’s I love covering new designers is because they always surprise you – there’s nothing like getting fresh look into fashion. Her show opening was quite lovely and beautiful which is not what I expected to think considering it was a play of Marilyn Monroe’s The Seven Year Itch subway grate scene. The show’s audience felt the same way as this was meant with ahhs and applause
The Honor Collection featured lots of delicate embellishments – lace, tulle, pleating, and plaid and ultra feminine looks like the full skirts made with organza, chiffon, taffeta, etc. Appropriately, a song from the Dirty Dancing movie played during the show which is exactly what the looks brought to mind – can’t you see Baby wearing these looks throughout the movie?
