One designer I know will never disappoint me is Wenlan Chia who has designed the line Twinkle by Wenlan for the past 10 years or so. She is a master at knits, I love her soft colors and her complete embrace of femininity without being too overly girly. For instance, her inspiration for this season’s collection was a fairytale but not your typical bubbly fairytale, she went a bit dark to tales like Hansel & Gretel
Of course you can see she didn’t take the darkness of Hansel & Gretel too literal, the collection was filled with the innocence of the title characters. Even the backdrop to her show showed a whimsical dark innocence. My favorite piece was a long semi-chunky knit tunic; although the multi-colored leggings and paired with the chocolate sweater and the adorable bubble dress with the fireworks-ish print caught my eye as well
