Brooklyn You’re a Work of Art: Sephora Brooklyn Opening

The opening of Sephora’s Brooklyn location was indeed a grand event. Hundreds of hopefuls lined up in the wee hours of the morning in hopes of winning one of a hundred Sephora gift cards containing varied amounts up to $1000.

Cheerful Sephora Brooklyn employees came out in their uniforms and danced for the crowd to hip hop music from Brooklyn natives.

Once Inside, mass pandemonium hit with people clamoring to any empty display space to try the unused product testers. Fresh hot and cold press coffee by Morris Kitchen via Stumptown roasters was provided along with pastry bites, a fun photo booth by the good folks over at Bosco and a general atmosphere of a good time.

Celebrity makeup artist John Lemon taught a workshop on how to use natural ingredients from the kitchen with products you can buy in store to customize your products. Workshop participants got to use spices and natural ingredients such as nutmeg, cinnamon, cocoa powder and others to mix with cosmetics.

***Thanks to Beauty Contributor, Laura of Blush and Beakers for attending the Sephora Brooklyn Opening Event with me (buying me birthday breakfast) and covering for My Life on and off the Guest List. Make sure to check out her blog.
