Dark and Lovely Announces Bria Murphy as Brand Ambassador

When Softsheen-Carson Dark and Lovely throws an event, come rain or shine, there will be a high attendance number. The #1 ethnic haircare brand in the world held an event to announce their new Global Brand Ambassador, Bria Murphy, daughter of actor Eddie Murphy and model, Nicole Murphy. “I grew up using Dark and Lovely products and I am so proud to be part of a brand that celebrates the diversity of African American women and inspires them to be self-confident, glamorous and fun,” says Bria.

Bria will be the face of Dark and Lovely’s latest product innovation, Dark and Lovely® Healthy-Gloss 5™ System, the first-ever relaxer and maintenance system to preserve and restore all five signs of healthy hair with moisture, shine, strength, softness and body.

The new Healthy-Gloss 5 Relaxer and Maintenance System includes the Healthy-Gloss 5 Relaxer (Regular, Super and Color-Treated), Healthy-Gloss 5 Moisture Shampoo, Healthy-Gloss 5 Moisture Conditioner, Healthy-Gloss 5 Moisture Leave-in-Treatment and Healthy-Gloss 5 Moisture Hair Creme, and will be available in mass market outlets and beauty supply stores nationwide beginning February 2011.

Several celebrities attended this fabulous event including Bai Ling, Adrienne Bailon, Tyson Beckford, Eddie and Nicole Murphy and Nia Long, who introduced Bria (see below)

One of my favorite parts of the above video is watching Eddie Murphy stand up when Bria walked out – a very proud father. Below is the continuation of the above – Bria in her words.

After the event’s presentation, DJ Kiss kept the crowd going with some great music while we dined on some yummy hors d’oeuvres and sipped on some tasty champagne. See below for more photos from the event
