Celebrating the Season of Resurrection with Delicious Easter Cocktails

Easter season is the time to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, an event which is celebrated in many ways, one of which is decorating Easter eggs, an act which is said to symbolize the empty tomb that Christ resurrected from. During this time, many people create wonderful meals, and drinks to celebrate this season of new life. Today we share a few Easter Cocktail recipes to help you celebrate the season, from PEEPS® (by way of Love Bakes Good Cakes), Powell & Mahoney Cocktail Mixers, and Cruzan Rum.

PEEPS® Cocktail

Lemon wedge
Colored sugar
1 1/2 oz. Cherry Vodka
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
3 oz. half and half
Dash of Grenadine
1 Marshmallow PEEPS®
Rim a martini glass with the lemon wedge and then dip the rim in colored sugar. Set aside. Add the cherry vodka, triple sec, half and half, and grenadine to a shaker filled with ice until chilled. Strain into a prepared glass, and garnish with the Marshmallow PEEPS®. Serve immediately.

Powell & Mahoney Madras

2 oz. Powell & Mahoney Cosmopolitan mixer
1 oz. fresh orange juice
1 ½ oz. vodka or gin in a shaker
Shake and strain over ice into a highball glass. Garnish with a slice of orange.

Cruzan Peach Swizzle

1 1/2 parts Cruzan® Peach Rum
1/2 part Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 part Simple Syrup
Soda Water
Mint Sprigs
Dash of Orange Bitters
Lightly muddle a Mint Sprig in the bottom of a Collins glass. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Add ice to the glass and top with Soda Water. Add one dash of Orange Bitters. Garnish with a lightly slapped Mint Sprig.
