This implies that not only do people feel the need to have their phone always available, they’re also using it with shocking frequency.

While society continues to insist on increased smartphone dependency, there are still ways to help reduce your addiction. Our addiction to smartphones and social media can be a symptom of a larger problem such as depression or anxiety, therefore finding a treatment for those may lower your compulsions to constantly check your phone. By making these devices their primary phones, these people are able to avoid the temptations of most smartphones. This includes social media, distracting apps, and more.
