Fashion, art, and city life collide in HAYELI’s FW’26 collection, MULTIPLE, and the result is anything but ordinary. Following its debut at Palais de Tokyo during Paris Fashion Week, we were invited to an intimate NYC preview of the collection, designed by Armine Ohanyan in collaboration with, and inspired by, the striking work of artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan.
Think of MULTIPLE as art stepping out of the gallery and deciding it wants to go places. Each piece turns contemporary artwork into something you can actually wear, pairing sculptural tailoring with expressive details and impeccable craftsmanship. The limited-edition garments feel artistic without being untouchable, bringing a little gallery-worthy drama into the everyday wardrobe.
The collection explores the different versions of ourselves we reveal as we move through life. After a season of looking inward, HAYELI is looking outward, examining how we express ourselves through clothing, movement, shape, and even the spaces we inhabit. The idea is simple: we are never just one thing. We are layered, complicated, constantly changing, and MULTIPLE embraces all of it.
And then there are the cities. New York, Paris, Tokyo, and other fast-moving metropolises provide the collection’s pulse. City life is a beautiful kind of organized chaos, with people rushing past one another, cultures colliding, personalities overlapping, and countless stories unfolding on the same block. Everyone wants to stand out, yet everyone is part of the crowd. HAYELI captures that contradiction beautifully.
Ohanyan translates the energy of skyscrapers into clothing, playing with strong, geometric shapes and three-dimensional silhouettes. Forms seem to expand, stack, and multiply, creating a sense of movement even when the wearer is standing still. Tsitoghdzyan’s artwork appears across different surfaces, adding another layer to the conversation between fabric, form, and art.
But for all its artistic ambition, MULTIPLE never forgets that clothes are meant to be worn. Versatility, comfort, and quiet confidence are key. Premium fabrics, clean proportions, refined silhouettes, and thoughtful details elevate everyday essentials without making them feel overly precious.
There is also something wonderfully refreshing about HAYELI’s approach to luxury. Instead of shouting for attention, the collection lets quality do the talking. These are pieces designed to live beyond a single season, slipping effortlessly into real life while still giving the wearer something to look at, think about, and perhaps talk about.
MULTIPLE ultimately celebrates individuality in all its wonderfully complicated forms. It is fashion for navigating busy streets, crowded rooms, changing moods, and all the versions of ourselves in between. Art meets wardrobe, the city meets the individual, and suddenly getting dressed feels like a much more interesting conversation.
