ELEMIS Supports Women for Women International with New Launch

Just in time for International Women’s Day, celebrated around the world tomorrow, March 8th, ELEMIS has launched a new limited edition skincare product, a supersize ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 100ml. This amazing skincare product that not only delivers a powerful promise to support your skin, it also promises to change women’s lives. ELEMIS will donate $46,000 from the sale of this limited edition size of their 100ml supersize anti-aging product to Women for Women International in order to help marginalized women living in conflict-affected areas, plus you can further help the cause via social media.

Housed in a luxury designer keepsake box, this No. 1 bestselling anti-aging moisturizer is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in 14 days, improve hydration and leave your skin feeling firmer and looking more radiant. How can you help this great beauty brand continue to support women? From March 6th – 8th, ELEMIS will be donating $1 every time you share or #MessageToMySister and tag @ELEMIS on social media. As longtime supporters of Women for Women International, ELEMIS’s wonderful skincare products have helped to give marginalized women living in conflict-affect areas access to the life-changing skills needed to overcome the social exclusion and economic restrictions. In 2016, they sponsored a full class of 25 women in the Kabul Province of Afghanistan. In 2017, they continued the partnership by donating $50,000 to the #SheInspiresMe campaign.

What makes this wonder beauty product so great? Besides helping to give back, it’s hero ingredient, Mediterranean algae Padina Pavonica, has been blended with Ginkgo Biloba, Chlorella, and precious Rose and Mimosa absolutes to moisturize the skin. These wonderful ingredients also help to give your skin a feeling of suppleness, firmness and elasticity.

“At ELEMIS, giving back is part of our DNA. While striving to create innovative products and treatments, the heart of our business is people’s well-being. Contributing to changing people’s lives is what helps to make a difference. We choose charities close to our hearts, that we feel really make an impact. Our donation will allow Women for Women International to help reach their recruitment goal: bringing 12,000 women through a training program that gives these women the tools they need to support their children and transform their lives forever.”  – Oriele Frank, Co-Founder & CMO, ELEMIS

“This collaboration would help fund our year-long program that gives the most marginalized women, in conflict-affected countries, access to the life-changing skills needed to overcome the social exclusion and economic restrictions they face. We are so grateful to ELEMIS for helping us to continue changing women’s lives around the world.” – Brita Fernandez Schmidt, Executive Director,Women For Women International

Holiday Gift Ideas | Gifts That Give Back

I had the pleasure of attending a holiday event at the beautiful Andaz Hotel and was pleasantly surprised to walk into an amazing event, The Andaz Holiday Bazaar, that celebrated local artists and up-and-coming talent, offers unique gifts for the holiday and raises money for an amazing cause. The custom-created items included home décor, one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry, apparel, and more. The online bazaar is hosted by video shopping destination Joyus.com and all available gift ideas can be seen by heading to www.joyus.com/giftsthatgiveback. All proceeds from the sale of items go to Women for Women International (WfWI), a nonprofit organization that provides women in war-torn countries with economic opportunities to be positive catalysts for change. Check out a few of the items available for purchase and the artists behind them:

Flash Rosenberg

Flash Rosenberg is a “live-cartoonist” based in New York City who draws, photographs, writes and performs. Flash will be selling custom-created white and rose scarves that feature drawings celebrating the knowing smiles between women everywhere.

Michael Breach

Michael Breach, a self-proclaimed “espressoionist,” is a New York City based artist/barista with a unique talent of creating incredibly detailed portraits and designs in coffees. He has provided framed 8xl1 prints with a portrait of Jimi Hendricks made in latte foam.

Claw Money

Known as Claw Money, her graffiti alter ego, Claudia Gold combines her eye for fashion with her edgy graffiti style. If you’re in New York between mid-November and February, you can see her artwork proudly painted on the doors of Andaz 5th Avenue. Through the bazaar, she will be offering colorful, framed screen prints, as well as an Andaz-inspired tote bag, all featuring her signature claw icon.

Carter Kustera

Carter Kustera has shown in numerous galleries and museums nationally and internationally and was included in two Venice Biennales. Each work provided for the bazaar is based on African barbershop haircut signs, and Kustera puts his stamp on the signs by using the hairstyles of pop cultural icons.

Jason Laurits

Jason Laurits is a designer and the founder of graphic and silk-screening company, Paste. His approach to Paste has long been influenced by the trial and error that comes with silk-screening. Jason is offering his black and white poodle adorned rocks glasses that are sure to liven up one’s holiday entertaining.
