At the BCBG Fall Collection Show, color-blocking is here to stay with a very firm grip. The trend, which has been a multi-season favorite, were seen in flowing dresses and asymmetrically skirts, large envelope clutches, leather jackets and fur pieces implemented into outerwear
Softness and femininity flowed throughout the collection with such details as intricate and flowy pleats, geometric shapes, mixed fabrications, sheer paneling, and a bold color palette of navy, rust, ivory and taupe punctuated with brilliant color inclusions of coral, cobalt blue, teal, bordeaux, mustard and kelly green.
The collection was inspired by Bauhaus – Germain paintings from a 1900’s art school that created the melding of fine arts and crafts into design. The collection’s longer silhouette added sophistication and grace to the collection, making it a great followup to their Spring 2012 looks.
