What’s a girl to do when she’s all the way uptown and must get to a backstage call all the way downtown? She calls one of her blogging buddies to cover for her. That’s exactly what happened to me for Alice + Olivia, one of my favorite brands. I was able to rest assure knowing blogger sensation, Jennifer of College Walk would be able to cover backstage. Alice + Olivia’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection was everything a girl dreams about. Different textures, patterns and bright colors were displayed all with a beautiful 1950s vintage inspired theme. The hair followed suit in that theme especially since Benjamin Mohapi, L’Oreal Professionnel Session Artist, created neat, ponytails that portrayed the feminine perfection of the 1950s.
The look is reminiscent of that time but can still be worn today for a touch of sophistication. The L’Oreal Professionnel products used were Infinium 3 Hairspray before curling, Fresh Dust Dry Shampoo to add texture to hair, and Homme Mat on ponytail and crown.
