5:31 JÉRÔME Fall 2014 Collection Presentation

For his sophomore collection, designer Jerome LaMaar once again wows fashion lovers with his brilliant Fall 2014 collection. The collection consisted of opulent Mohair cropped sweaters, stylish motorcycle leather jackets, crisp tuxedo shirts and chic cocktail dresses with lots of edgy details, made from suede, wool, leather, silk and twill. Though the accent color of his Fall 2014 collection was gold, we saw lots of pink, dark fuschia and berry hues punctuated with fall tones of hunter green, burnt orange, grey and navy.

During the presentation, I was asked which look was my favorite – something I found quite difficult to determine as I saw so many pieces which blew me away but I have narrowed my favorites down to these few: I love everything about this asymmetrical pink wool coat with fur collar and zipper detail at the back featured below, the incredible Oversized plum wool coat with oversized gold buttons (see first photo and photo below), the navy wool blazer with black fused rubber, the grey coat with the same treatment and all of the sleek, chic dresses with cutouts.

LaMaar  (pictured below) began his career as an intern at Baby Phat, and quickly rose to senior designer followed by an apprenticeship with Ralph Rucci and then wowing everyone with his debut Spring 2014 collection. His 5:31 Jérôme label is named for his birthday May 31.
