Journey to Younger Eyes w/ RoC Skincare & Duane Reade #Eyes4NYC

Ladies, we age, there’s no denying that but you can slow down the process thanks to amazing products like RoC Brand Skincare’s range of Retinol products. You may be wondering at what age should you start using anti-aging products. We’re here to tell you that time is now, especially eye creams. Preventative anti-aging is essential for deep wrinkle treatment and younger looking skin, especially if stress factors affects your skin. As bloggers, we experience long days and late nights staring at our computers for hours on end and I’ve personally been guilty of not properly taking care of my eyes. Our entire experience with RoC Skincare has definitely made us think twice about our lack of preventative eye skincare. As they say, “your eyes are the windows to your soul”, so why not keep them looking youthful.

With the combination of the amazing RoC Retinol Correxion products and Ray-Ban sunglasses we received, we are well on our way to great, younger looking eyes. Along with learning so much from world-renowned Dermatologist and Author, Dr. Debra Jaliman during a great and highly informative #Eyes4NYC Twitter chat, we also had the pleasure of doing something no one has…..walk the Duane Reade beauty aisle with the top Dermatologist during a public event at one of Duane Reade’s most beautiful locations – 40 Wall Street.

We, along with our readers, had the unique opportunity of getting inside skincare tips and tricks, answers to the most asked questions, the real truth (and myths) about anti-aging eye care, real knowledge on RoC Skincare and the benefits of Retinol from Dr. Debra Jaliman and Johnson & Johnson Research & Development Senior Director, Anna Prilutsky.

Some of our favorite tips included:

  1. Keep your skincare regime simple
  2. Always use sunscreen even on days it’s pouring rain and the sun is no where to be seen
  3. It’s never too early to start your anti-aging program and to start using Retinol
  4. keeping your skincare products in the refrigerator extends the life of the product
  5. If you’ve never used a Retinol product before (especially around the eyes), start with one for Sensitive Skin like RoC’s Retinol Correxion Sensitive Eye Cream
  6. Use a cotton round rather than your fingers to wash your face
  7. No need to go overboard on the amount of product you use. Using too much is a waste of money and does nothing for you

After the incredibly informative walk-thru, we sat down with the Dr. Debra Jaliman (below, left) and Anna Prilutsky (below, right) for a Q & A and a little more insight on how to properly care your the skin around your eyes. Check out a snippet below:

One of my readers and a fellow blogger, Jonique Hewitt (shown below listening intently), attended the event as my guest and shared her thoughts on the event and RoC Brand

“I feel more confident about using retinols now and will even be educating friends on using them effectively. Roc seems to have thought of everything so I’m not intimidated any longer. Dr. Debra’s book has been amazing too. Great simple advice to compliment the info I heard at the event.
I’ll be urging my readers to try RoC and to pick up the book.” – Jonique Hewitt, Confessions of a Product Whore

At the end of the event, we settled on a group photo to commemorate the wonderful event. If you haven’t started your anti-aging process or are new to Retinol, stop by any Duane Reade location to get better acquainted with RoC Skincare.
